Hey, we're getting somewhere here

The cute neighbor has been out of town for about a week. Awful timing. I had planned on bugging him to get to know him better after being done with the exam, but he left the next day on a week-long work trip. The day after he left, he received a package in the mail that was left downstairs, so after it sat there for about a day and a half, I brought it upstairs and put it right in front of his door. I figured that if it's out of the way, no one will kick it around or try to be nosey and grab it. But a few days ago, I came back from being out and noticed that someone had tampered with it and slightly opened it. I got really mad, so I moved the package into my apartment to hold for him until he came back. The following day, he received a big stuffed envelope, and someone had put it in front of his apartment, but had opened it. I was really mad, and I moved the envelope into my apartment. People, tampering with the mail is a federal offense. I'd like to catch the person who did it and recite the law to them. Stupid!

Earlier today, I thought: "uh oh, in a couple of days I will be leaving on vacation and will be gone for three weeks. What if I leave before he comes back?" Well, luckily, he was home when I came back from dinner tonight, so I knocked on his door and gave him his stuff. He was very appreciative, and VERY cute. We started talking, and I told him that it's too bad that I will be leaving on vacation soon and that we haven't yet had the chance to get to know each other. He agreed, and he said we'll have to catch up when I come back. He also told me that we should watch shows together and hang out and drink wine together. Well, hell, who's going to say "NO" to that? He also said that he enjoys the movies and goes alone all the time, and it would be more fun to go to the movies together sometime. COUNT ME IN!

As if he needed any more cool points, he offered to get my mail for me while I was gone and hold it for me so my mailbox doesn't get too full. THEN, he asked me if I needed him to look after my cat while I was gone. HOW. CUTE. IS. THAT?!

This is perfect timing. Being done with school, becoming free, having a cute politically smart neighbor move in, and on top of that, I don't have to do much work to get him to want to do stuff. He want to hang out and watch movies and drink wine. Well, if I didn't know any better I'd say: LIFE IS GOOD!

Gerbera - Yes, it's always nice to make new friends. Too bad I'm already leaving the cat with my parents, but if I weren't, he'd be my second choice :)

Nessa - Thanks! Let's hope they stay good for a while :)

Kim - I'll definitely tell you about him IN A WEEK :)
That's funny about the guy delivering the tickets. You and C are lucky to have each other, you're both special!

Kranki - Very perfect. Well, except I'll be gone on vacation for a while, but he'll still be around when I come back!

Marit - Oh I will :)
