Two random things
- I was sending out some post cards today. I ran out of post card stamps, so it was either running out to get more stamps, which we all know I'm too lazy to do, because I can't even remember the last time I bought stamps in person. I order them online and have them sent to me. Yep, I'm THAT lazy. My other option was to put 13 two cent stamps on the post card, or 45 for international destinations, which means, there would be no room for my precious message!
I contemplated taping a quarter and a penny to the post cards. What do you think the post office would do if I were to do that? It's 26 cents! Fuck it, those last two people can wait till I get my stamps delivered in the mail to me. I'm too lazy damn it!
- I had a dream last night that my alarm clock broke, probably the same way I broke a couple of alarm clocks in high school when in a moment of anger at the idea of waking up I slammed them against the wall! But I digress.... Back to the dream... So I replaced the alarm clock with another one that looked the same exact way, except this one, much to my chagrin, does not stop buzzing. That annoying buzz, you know which one. It kept on going. I tried to snooze it, turn it off, taking out the battery and it would not stop. I started crying. Then I started reading the user manual which oddly enough was written on a lace pink skirt, inside and out, and there were porn ads on the inside of the skirt, and it still didn't tell me how to turn off the alarm clock.
Finally, I got so angry that I wanted to cry and slam my head against the wall, when I suddenly woke up and my alarm was buzzing, and from the time on it, it had been doing so for at least 20 minutes. But luckily in reality my alarm got turned off. And I didn't have to slam any part of my body against any solid objects!

It takes me so long to use stamps, that on the rare occasions I send a postcard, I just put a letter stamp on it.
As for your dream? I don't know, I think I'll leave that to the mental health professionals, between the pink lace and the porn ads. (Although it's safe to say you're probably sleep deprived!)
i think you've got a lot of pressure at work which leaves you scared to not make it there on tine and also, you don't get enough sleep. the porn-skirt-thing? woah, i have no idea. any news with the CN-situation? maybe you really, really want to wear a pink skirt and seduce him? hmmm...?
(Blinks in shock and tries to gather some ideas in the back of his head... Naaahhh... It's no use... Got... to... get... her... a... good... explanation...)

Stress? Repression of some desires? Lack of sleep? Exacerbated sense of responsibility?

I can't explain your dream, but sure sounds more interesting then mine usually are..I am always looking for a parking spot or trying to find my purse.

I get postage online too! I actually ship packages that way too--pay/print shipping labels. I hate the post office. Makes me want...to go postal!
ok i should shop for postage online too..have not done it but I will start. I'm STILL using stamps from before the most recent change. I was too lazy to go buy the stamps that would add on the extra postage..so instead I've been slapping on TWO of the older stamps at a time..to use them up. I like the Forever stamps idea though..finally a good idea.
Ern - I think it is VERY safe to say I'm sleep deprived. Funny thing is I hate all those things: the color pink, lace, and porn.
Kim - No I don't want to seduce anyone, and definitely not the CN. I'm not sure what's going on there, but I'm too busy at work to care. Who knows!
Julio - Waw, that's a lot of "explanations" or whatever they are. I think it's sleep-deprivation, for sure!
Green Tea - That's awesome, looking for a parking spot. I want your dreams. I always have the weird ones, and Clooney doesn't show up in mine either. Boo!
Marit - I loathe the post office too, and people who work there who have that attitude, like they know they control you. And the post office close to my place closed down. I HATE THEM!
Misty - Put two stamps instead of the 2 cent stamp? Are you kidding me? I hate it when I have to be one cent more than it should be. Not because I'm cheap (I'm not), but because the government already takes enough of our money in so many other ways that as a matter of principal I don't want to do that. Then you go off and give them a whole 37 or 39 extra cents. DAMN IT WOMAN!
